How To Clean Your Makeup Brushes

I can NOT stress how important it is to clean your makeup brushes! Just think, you are sweeping these things all over your face everyday, you want them to be clean, right? I mean, say you're covering a pimple with a concealer brush one day then using that same brush on your face the next day. EW! Your brushes collect so much makeup and oil and just nasty stuff. There is seriously no excuse not to clean your brushes. It's so simple and yet not many people do it. So today I'll be showing you the incredibly easy process of cleaning makeup brushes.

Step 1. You'll need baby shampoo. Yes, just baby shampoo. No special cleaners or sprays.

Step 2. Gather up all of your brushes and run them under lukewarm water.

Step 3. Pour a little bit of  the baby shampoo into the palm of your hand and take your wet brush and swirl it in the shampoo.

(Squeezing them will help to get the makeup out!)

Step 4. Rinse your brushes out after you've cleaned them. Make sure that you get ALL of the soap out.

Step 5. Once you've rinsed all of your brushes out grab a towel or rag and swipe them across it and use your hand to reshape the brushes.
Step 6. Lay out your brushes at an angle so that the water wont seep up into the brush and dissolve the glue that holds the brush together over time. I suggest doing this at night so they will have a lot of time to dry.

That's it! It's seriously that easy. I hope I have convinced you all to clean your brushes. It is suggested that you clean them 2-3 times every week but the bare minimum would be 1 time.
